French Evening (part 2)
On Saturday, we had about 10 people around for our French evening. After much deliberation, the meal we settled on was:
- Gazpacho
- French Onion Soup
- Steak Tartare
- Croque Monsieur
- Cheese Pastries
- A selection of cold meets
- Loads of cheeses and baguettes
The evening started with a bottle of French Bubbly (not Champaign, but from the Luberon region), followed by rosé (which took me straight back to Provence) and later on a few bottles of red wine – both French and local.
Nick kindly brought us a selection of French music, so we were able to completely capture the ambience of eating in a Café in Paris. We had so much fun, that I completely forgot to take any photos, so I am afraid that I cannot show you anything about the evening.

Hello! Thanks very much for the link!
Your menu sounds lovely. I haven’t had the courage to try steak tartare yet!
