Three orchids to rubberstamp.co.za
May 6th, 2006
A few days ago I needed to order a rubber stamp for Toastmasters. So, on the Sunday evening I did a quick Google search, and found a local company that allows for you create your stamp online. I filled out the details and was promised delivery within three days.
When I checked my email on Monday morning, there was a proof waiting in my mailbox, which I accepted, and the stamp was at my Postnet Box by the end of Tuesday. It took less than 48 hours from the time I placed the order, until it has been completed. Their price was also comparable to (if not cheaper than) the local shops.
These guys really know what customer service is all about, namely, they:
- Were efficient
- Provided good value
- Stuck to their promises
And on top of that, they provided an easy to use website. So to all of you at Rubber Stamp SA, congratulations on your orchids and keep up the good service.
Addendum: Without diminishing the service I received (which was fantastic), once could argue that the service I received should not be thought of as exceptional, and that that sort of service should be considered as normal service. After all, they simply made a promise to me and kept it. However, South Africa is not a service-orientated country, and alas we constantly hear about poor service, so when we DO receive good service, it appears to be exceptional and above average. Yes it is above average, but only because the average is so poor. Imagine how great the general standard of service would be if the service that I received was considered average!

I just wanted to say, thank you very much for the kind words.
I liked your addendum and would add that the key to service excellence is the ability to deliver on your promise consistently – sometimes easier said than done.
Anyway, thank you once again for your order and for taking the time out to relay your experience on your website.
Kind regards
Gary
