Cape Town International Airport Top African Airport

June 1st, 2006

Cpt_international_airportAt the recent World Airport Awards, Cape Town International was rated as the top African Airport, followed by Durban International, and then Johannesburg International. Cape Town was also rated as the second friendliest airport in the World! So, congratulations to Cape Town International Airport – keep it up.

Two orchids to Cape Town International Airport.

PS: It is quite clear that the airport car park was not a significant part of the rating of the airport in any category, because it has been an absolute disaster while the new car park has been built. You are not getting an onion this time, but be warned!

PPS: The top airport in the world was Singapore, and the friendliest was Brisbane. The ratings are based on passenger surveys of over 450 airports.

I’d be interested to know where SAA itself ranks… probably near the bottom somewhere. They are NOT very accommodating to pregnant women, neither is Air Mauritius for that matter…

  2. Craig Says:

Yes, I quite agree – see the previous onion they received!
