Rain rain go away, come back next winter

Cloud

Today is the 22nd of November, and it is raining outside – again!

Over 200 homes in the Overberg were damaged, several roads were washed away, and it is cold and wet. Last night alone, Caledon experienced 100mm of rain, and the weather service has warned of flash flooding.

This summer is oscillating between hot & sunny and cold & rainy. Whenever summer seems to be arriving, it slips away in the rain. This is driving me crazy!

Come on rain, it is November, so please go away and come back next June when it is supposed to be winter – please give us our summer back.

(at least our dams are full – they are at 99.5% capacity and after this rain I am sure that we are going to go over 100%)

Update: In the last 36 hours, George had over 170mm rain!
