How to save on proposed Eskom tariff increases

ElectricityNowadays, most people have prepaid electricity meters. So, why don’t you simply buy as much electricity as you can afford before the proposed +-60% tarriff increases. So, in essence you are stockpile your electricity.

It is only a short-term solution, but it could save a bundle. It might even be worth while using your bond to but (for example) R5000 worth of electricity. The interest that you pay on R5000 on a bond is far less that that the 60% that Eskom want.

What you you think – it it worthwhile?
