Wilting Sunflowers

Although it is the middle of winter, the last few days have been unusually warm. Even the local fynbos flowers are blooming (I have even been walking around in a T-shirt). But while the weather has been wonderful, I think that it is just about over, and we are going to be in for the much needed winter rain in a few days.

I think that these wilting sunflowers that I bought Lois the other day represent the weather (and no, they were not wilting when I bought them!).

  • I love sunflowers. They are one of my favourite flowers! It´s a nice gift to your Lois…I think you are a really attentive husband! She can be proud to you ;).
We have here summer but in this year he is more wet and colder temperatures(at the moment only 20 degree). All peoples complain of this summer. My daughter too…she loves the heat. Maybe I am the one and only and stupid person who like it colder in summer.20 degree are absolutly okay for me ;).

  • You have had a cold summer, and we have had a hot winter; how strange. You are welcome to the cold weather, and while I am enjoying our very mild winter, it will have a huge effect on the water levels in our dams if we don’t get some rain soon.
