Go Bafana Bafana!
There are less than 5 hours until the kickoff, and South Africa has gone completely crazy. Everybody is hooting, blowing their vuvuzelas, wearing the yellow and green of our national side Bafana Bafana, all getting ready to support our team in the opening match.
The traders on the street are doing a roaring trade, with lines of cars stopping on the side of the road, hoping to still buy a flag or supporters shirt.
We are going to have a great game, and we are going to show that Africa can put on a great show!
Day 149: Emily and Friends
Day 149: Emily, originally uploaded by Craig is shooting.
Emily is now about 8 months old, and weights in at over 32kg. She still manages to have that really cute puppy-dog expression on her face “it is such hard work being so cute”.
Here are two of her siblings:

Eccles is Lois’ guide dog. She is a cross between a Labrador and a Golden Retriever. She has always had the gray on the muzzle, but it is starting to get a little more profound.

Cassius is the old boy of the house. Even though he is not a boxer, he is named after Cassius Clay (the boxer). He is starting to feel the cold in his bones, but he is such a lovely dog.

And since today’s pic is of Emily, we will finish off with another pic of her.
Keeping emails short – my latest plan for efficency

In an attempt to get away fromĀ long-winded and complicated emails, and to keep my inbox down to zero messages, I will try to keep my emails to five sentences or less. It is also helping me to get things done.
A short and simple solution to a simple problem. I hope you will start to do likewise.
The idea is from here http://five.sentenc.es/
Day 141: I still have a cold
I still have this stupid cold that I picked up somewhere between Johannesburg and here, and it won’t go away!
So, all you are getting is a cap of Medinight which I shall have in a few minutes before going to bed.
A note on the daily photos
You might notice that there is sometimes a small misalignment between the photo numbers and the date. If you are wondering why this is the case, it is quite simple. My intention is to take and publish a daily photo, but the reality is that it does not always happen, which may result in me just not getting a picture in every day.
Having said that, I am up to day 128 (almost half way), and day 130 should have been April 27, so I am only 5 days out. The purists will tell me to take a pic every day regardless, but it is my project, so my rules :-)
Anyway, enjoy the photos, I always welcome feedback.
