Bo-Kaap
I had a meeting in Bo-Kaap today, an old suburb just on the outside of the city bowl. The lovely sunshine was perfect weather to shoot a few pictures and play with my new 10/22mm lens before my next meeting.
The whole neighbourhood is colourfully painted, and being a traditional Muslim area, they are lots of beautifully build Mosques to photograph.
You can find out more on the Bo-Kaap website: http://www.bokaap.co.za/
Stonehenge; one from the archives
Stonehenge; one from the archives, found on a backup CD from years ago. Minor photoshop tweaking required :-)
I probably took the picture around 2000, on a trip to Salisbury, taken on my father’s 35mm Pentax SLR camera :-) While this shot is tone-mapped, it is not a true HDR in that only one exposure was used.
If you have not been to Stonehenge you should visit it, it is a magical place.
Dog walking on Muizenberg Beach
Muizenberg beach is a favourite spot for morning dog walking. We often take our dogs for a walk on the beach on the weekends, and they love the space, the freedom and of course socializing with all the other dogs. Mostly all the dogs want to do is run around and have fun; I have seldom seen a scuffle between any dogs.
Of course you don’t need to have a dog to enjoy the beach :-)
Muizenberg beach is one of the reasons that I love living in Lakeside; It truly is magnificent.
