Just a quick note to let you know that one of my photos has been selected by Cape Town Tourism as their pic for the day.
Day 51: Cape Town on fire
I was driving home, when I saw a huge fire in some open land. The fire
trucks were there, and although devastating to the grass, a great photo
opportunity.

Day 49: More chillis
With the wet spring and hot summer, my chilli plants have gone crazy. I have got literally hundreds of them on my trees at the moment. I doubt that I will manage to eat them all, but they do really look lovely.
Perhaps I should start to pickle some of them.

Fresh jalapeno chillis from my garden, taken with my new homemade lightbox. I don’t have the cord to separate my camera from the flash, so I used the regular flash and a light shining from one side.

A bird walking around the parking lot at work. I loved the way that she (or possibly he) seems to be taking such huge steps. It reminds me of a model on a ramp. I only had my little point and click with me, but it seemed to have come
out ok.
