Cape Town from Pringle Bay
In a recent post I promised to show you a photo of Cape Town from the “other side” of False Bay. Well, here is a view of the False Bay coast of Cape Town, taken from Pringle Bay, looking a Simonstown on the left, heading past Muizenberg and towards Cape Town itself on the right.
Pringle Bay is a wonderful area, amazingly under-developed, with the most beautiful beach. We spend Saturday and Sunday there, and it was such a relaxing break, much needed to charge the batteries before the Christmas chaos about to come.
Emily
We took Eccles and Emily with us, and they both (literally) had a whale of a time.

False Bay and Hottentots-Holland mountain
This shot was taken from the beach along Baden Powell Drive, just about where it crosses Weltevreden Road. I like the way the clouds fall over the Hottentots-Holland mountains with Hanklip just escaping the clouds. It was a lovely (yet windy-again) morning, but the clouds brought very heavy rain with them.
This beach is a hidden gem, it is clear, smooth and very clean. A lovely spot to stop, relax and enjoy the solitude before continuing on my journey to work.
We will be at Pringle Bay tomorrow, which is just on the point of the mountain on the right, so look out for a similar shot from the otherside in the next few days.
Bye bye Italy
This is the last photo of our trip. Thank you for the wonderful history, buildings, food, wine, beer, coffee and hospitality. Both Lois and I had a wonderful trip, and we truely plan to come back and to explore more of you!
It is sad to be posting my last pic of our trip, but it is just the last one for this trip. Ciao!

Ciao!
Venitian Roads and Bridges
You get used to these bridges very quickly; every journey of more than a minute requires walking up and down one of the many pedestrian bridges in Venice.
While there are lots of bridges, everything is so close that the walk is never too far.
This is the view that I saw from our hotel bedroom. Typically Venetian. From time to time, I would hear a Gondolier punting past, singing Italian love songs to his passengers.
