Chicken Braai for supper

There is nothing to beat braai’d chicken with a chilli marinade, served with grilled baby butternut and braised baby marrows. If you are not from South Africa, a braai is a BBQ, although we will almost always use wood to make the coals to cook on, rather than gas.

I don’t think that I would call braaing a religion, but it is pretty close :-).

  • What a scrumptious, mouth-watering photo! Bon appetit!

I send you a cyber piece of my blog anniversary cake today!

  • Thanks Leif. Happy blogaversary!

  • Yeah, for some braaing is VERY close to a religion. Been doing it now every day for 25 months myself :-)

BTW: You got some awesome pics on your site. Next time I’m in CPT, we’ll have to hook up so that I can get some quality braai shots – I currently make do with my “mik en druk”.

  • A braai every day @braai boy – now that is a thought. I thought that I was a keen braaier, but you are clearly in a different league!

Give me a shout anytime you are in Cape Town, would be happy to take some pics. Glad you like the pics on my site (there are plenty of braai pics)

    Craig

  • Yes, barbecuing with wood is always better than with gas. The braai’d chicken looks so delicious.

  • Thanks Zakton, it was excellent!
