Wynand Road after the rain
This HDR shot is of Wynand Road (my road) in Lakeside, Cape Town just after some evening rain.
A few people have asked me how I took this pic, so here you are.
Sunset
With winter arriving, the sun is setting a little earlier each day. Today had been quite a cloudy and windy day, with bright blue sky intermingled with large winter clouds. While driving home from work, I noticed the most remarkable sunset over the mountains, and because I just happened to have my camera with me :-), I had to stop and take a few pictures.
This is a HDR shot taken from Muizenberg beach, looking over Constantia towards the bottom end of Table Mountain.
Pumphouse on the river
Old pumphouse on the Vaal River.
Non whites only
A reminder of the awfully discriminating past of South Africa, this bench,
along with its counterpart "Whites Only" now resides outside the Cape Town
High Court as a reminder of the past. Thank goodness that is behind us, I
sincerely hope that it is never repeated.
Old Corvette
Old Corvette spotted outside the Forrester Arms in Newlands, Cape Town. The car was so sparkling and clean that you could use it as a mirror.
